It all started with this kit, the Double House in Clifftop, WV. It was in a town serviced by the Mann's Creek Railroad, a narrow gauge road that took lumber from Landisburg and coal from Clifftop down to Sewell where the products were loaded into cars on the C&O Railway in the New River Gorge.
I bought a small, cheap, Chinese laser in 2016 just to make things for my best friend's ho scale layout as well as mine. I made this house and he fell in love with it. Shortly after it was done, he and I went to a train show in Clifton Forge, VA for the C&O Historical Society. My friend, Bob Ray, took the house and showed it to Tom Dixon, who in turn showed it to his offfice manager and told her they needed to carry it. That put me into business.
Naturally, the small laser is a thing of the past, but our attention to detail is still there. Since that first kit, we have started working with other historical societies to produce kits of special buildings from their past. Keeping the past alive is one of the greatest feelings we have as we design and produce new kits. All but a few of our kits are based on actual buildings and designed using scale drawings and photos.
Have a look around and see what we have to offer. If you have an idea of a kit for an organization, or just one in general, please let us know. We can also do custom laser cutting for a single project.
